Tomorrow's fixtures

Match 49 · League Uncertain

KKR vs RR · Eden Gardens, Kolkata · 7:30 PM IST

Captain calls — tomorrow

Safer vs higher-variance for the day after

Same comparison frame as the homepage. Safer captaincy protects rank in season-long and head-to-head contests; higher-variance captaincy is for grand-league multipliers.

Safer captain pick

  • Anchors who bat 1–4 in powerplay
  • Confirmed role, low surprise risk
  • Best contest: season-long leaderboard, head-to-head

Higher-variance pick

  • All-rounders bowling in powerplay or at death
  • Higher ceiling but real chance of 6–8 points
  • Best contest: grand leagues, only-1 contests

Verification note

Probable XIs on this page are based on the latest confirmed squad announcements and stated recovery timelines. Last-minute changes are reflected in the day-of update window. The match-day desk reviews and re-publishes at 06:00 IST and again 30 minutes before toss.

Match prep workflow

How to read a match-day desk

The match centre is built around a single day-of-fixture workflow. The desk reads the squad announcements overnight, publishes the probable XI with confidence labels by 06:00 IST, and refreshes the venue brief with the latest weather forecast. Around 30 minutes before toss, the playing XI is confirmed and the captain-calls comparison is updated.

After each fixture, the result is added to the recaps row at the bottom of the page and the role shifts are folded into the players desk for the next match week. The accuracy log is updated on Mondays.

The match centre covers league fixtures, qualifiers, eliminators, and the final. Off-season, it switches to a fixture-list mode showing the next season's schedule shape and venue brief updates as ground authorities publish them.

Confidence labels explained

How to read a probable XI label

Confirmed

The role or XI is verified through a team announcement, post-match interview, or on-the-record statement. We treat Confirmed as the strongest label — the prediction is unlikely to change before toss unless there's a fitness issue at the warm-up.

Strong indication

The role or XI is supported by multiple secondary sources but not directly confirmed. There's a real chance the combination shifts at toss — usually for conditions reasons (extra spinner on a turning track, extra seamer on a green-top).

Uncertain

The combination question is genuinely open. There are multiple plausible XIs and the captain has not telegraphed the choice. Treat Uncertain slots as differential territory — they're either locks in the combination or punt material.
